On the 12th of November, 2021, I received an invite to a cocktail event at Kumbali Lodge, celebrating 50 years of the NICO group.
Nico group was launched in 1971, and now has NICO group, NBS Bank and Eris Properties under it.
It was a night of networking and fun, with NICO brands front and centre, sharing their successes and failures, and all it has taken for them to be in business for 5 whole decades.
I networked with some of Malawi’s youngest CEOs – in the company of Nico Technology CEO – Clarence Game, Tyre Trove – CEO Trevor Kandoje, Vj Ice – one of Malawi’s best DJs, and Sonyezo – Malawi’s celebrated artist, and founder of Houston Creative with his fabulous lady Rachel – a creative dancer, yogi, law student and best friend to Kim of Diamonds.
