One of my silent goals for 2023 is to be able to do a single strict pullup.
At the beginning of the year, I had a health scare which I took as a reminder to me I need to take better care of my health, particularly as I get older.
I immediately checked myself back into the gym (after about a 3yr break), and I’ve been feeling the best I have in a while. Better sleep, better eating habits, better heart-rate – just better everything.
It’s so easy (trust me I know) to self-neglect especially re health when you are pursuing goals, but when you can, take care of your body. It is one of your greatest assets.
For my workouts, I focus mostly on resistance (weight) training. My goal is strength, and I hope to be able to do a single strict pullup before the year ends.
Also cc young people: the best time to start working out is yesterday. The second best time is now. 🤍
