Living Room Renovation | Accent Walls

Hey loves,

As was stated in previous post, I recently moved into a new home. It was an impromptu decision, but a business decision I have been contemplating for a while now.

Interior design is something I am very passionate about – home decor to be exact. When I was in Uni, I used to dream about my future home all the time.

I would spend hours on pinterest looking up ideas on what my future home would look like. I have shared a lot on the little steps I have taken in setting up my home. I shared 3 years ago how I made my couch. Perhaps you may now understand why every piece, every detail, is close to my heart – and I have a hell of a time letting go of some pieces, and making changes.

I moved out of my previous apartment recently because I needed a bigger space for some things we are planning to do as By Ntha Media.

I will do a full house tour very soon, but for now I wanted to share with you my new living room.

The house already had accent walls when I moved in. They had a blush and burgundy theme, and much as I loved it; it did not fit with my furniture.

I was contemplating doing a gray/black and white theme for my accents. However, I collaborated with Rainbow Paints to celebrate their 30 Years Of Colorful Growth, and I thought I would push myself and add some color to my home. I decided to go with our official brand color – turquoise.

It was so risky, and I was so anxious – moreso because the color I chose was labelled as a ‘roof paint’, but I have to say I am totally happy with my decision. Totally.

I am totally obsessed with my new living room, and I can’t wait to show you all the other rooms very soon.
