Religion and Spring

Hey hey!

A blessed Good Friday from our hearts to yours!

Here is another curated poem by a poet I stumbled on.

This poem is different from the kind of poetry I usually post, and yet it surely deserves your read. The poet is a Literature student who likes to be social but value his space very much. Likes salted nachos and ‘Humans of New York’ and will one day be everything he is dreaming of.

|Religion and Spring|
.
A Hundred meters
From where I am seated
There’s a man in his rain coat
Dancing to the songs of his God
I feel empty looking at him,
I feel empathy for myself
If that is possible.
.
Many years ago,
I had that with God
Many years after,
I feel religion is just spring
Inside of me.
It comes once a year
And it’s nice to have it around
But it eventually goes away.
.
(Somebody help me
Keep the daisies alive.)

-Jungshi Imti.

We all have some diasies (of different kinds) we want to keep alive. I hope for you bravery strong enough to hold on.

Hoping you fall in love with this poem, as much as I did curating it.

Gigantic love sealed with prayers,

Seku
