Your ray of light #PoetryMonday

Hey loves!

Hope your Mondays are as badass as your Fridays.

I hope this week’s poem reminds all of us that we have all the power we need to be and beyond.

Your ray of light
Run. Crawl.
Out of your brim.
Because you are afraid
Of being alone.
Beg. Scorch.
For them to stay.
For them to take you.
If it’s just you with you, you are all alone.
Howbeit will it come the day
You no longer need another to make you feel whole.
In fact, you never needed one.
You are your own loyal company.
Your capabilities and your every fire inside were limited by your constant need to be made complete.
And your fear of being left out.
The moment you let this fear go, you simply rise.
Haven’t you been dying your whole life to rise.
Does it pinch your conscience that all you could have become was unbecomed by something that was in your own control.
Run. Crawl.
Back to yourself.
You are your own ray of light after all.
