In 2013, I started by Ntha—a digital space where I could document life in Malawi and share my experiences as a young Malawian. It was personal, a project rooted in storytelling and capturing the beauty and complexities of my journey.
As time passed, young people began reaching out. They wanted to know more about digital media, personal branding, and how to carve their own path in the creative space. I loved the idea of supporting others, but as my schedule filled with travel and work, I realized I couldn’t offer one-on-one guidance to everyone.
That’s how the Ntha Foundation came to life—born from the blog, but shaped into something more structured. It became a place where programs and trainings could take root, giving aspiring creatives the tools to thrive. What started as an initiative to train just 30 individuals quickly grew. By 2021, the Malawi government recognized our work, and, through a Public Private Partnership, asked us to scale—leading to over 500 trainees and eventually reaching tens of thousands across the country and beyond.
But growth brings new vision. The Ntha Foundation is now incorporated in the U.S., signaling our commitment to expanding globally. As my personal brand and work extend across the U.S., Europe, and beyond, I remain focused on building partnerships that bridge the world back to Africa.
This is where Kwathu Kollective comes in—serving as the African arm of this journey. While the broader foundation reaches across continents, Kwathu Kollective is grounded in Africa, dedicated to empowering creators and innovators at home.

Kwathu Kollective is about home, collaboration, and community—a space that serves Africa’s storytellers and changemakers. As the foundation grows globally, this arm ensures that the impact flows directly to the continent.
To everyone who has been part of this journey—thank you. This, to me, isn’t just a transition in name; it’s a continuation of the story, honoring the growth we’ve experienced together. I am deeply grateful for your contribution, in any way, and I look forward to working and growing further with you.
