I never had to look far, when I learnt of drawing inspiration, and finding role models. I have always had one role model – my mother, the strongest and most brilliant woman I know – the first female ship captain of Malawi.

Having been with the Lions Club for several years, I started to question the work which we were doing. We were helping a lot of people – definitely; but I felt that some parts of our work were not sustainable.
For 2020, I only had one goal – and that was to establish the Nyenyezi Fellowship Programme. For 2021, I have a few more goals on my list.
