Chapters

โ€œYouโ€™re interning with Microsoft, launching multiple books, and (re)establishing a nonprofit โ€” all at 29. Take it easy on yourself.โ€

That is what my AI said to me this month as I was… quite honestly, losing it a little.

Between wrapping up my summer internship at Xbox, planning and hosting a full-scale U.S. Gala for Ntha Foundation, and relaunching my first book By the End of Your Teens โ€” I found myself teetering on the edge of burnout more than once. I was trying to do it all.

But in the midst of all that motion, this gentle reminder cut through the noise: โ€œTake it easy on yourself.โ€

So if youโ€™ve been moving at full throttle lately โ€” chasing big goals, holding big visions, or simply trying to keep your world intact โ€” I hope this newsletter is a reminder to you to pause. Breathe. And remember how far youโ€™ve come.

For me, July looked a lot like chapters โ€” endings, beginnings, and the magic in between.

Iโ€™m writing this with a full heart, and a newly less full calendar. Between new wins and familiar lessons, July has stretched me โ€” creatively, professionally, and emotionally.

We launched: Ntha Foundation

This month, we hosted the first-ever Ntha Foundation Gala in the United States โ€” a beautiful moment to celebrate our seven years of work, and the beginning of a new global chapter.

From Mangochi to Redmond, this felt like more than a milestone. It was a declaration of how far weโ€™ve come, and how far weโ€™re still willing to go.

Personal Development: By the End of Your Teens

Xbox HQ

Being in Seattle is stretching me in the best ways. Not professionally โ€” I relaunched By the End of Your Teens โ€” the first book I ever wrote, now refreshed and reintroduced.

Rereading it felt like meeting my younger self again.

Thereโ€™s something humbling about holding your old words at 29. They still carry weight โ€” but this time, I carry them differently.

Professional Growth: Microsoft Final Connect

My internship at Xbox came to a close this month, after an intense and incredibly rewarding summer.

From data dashboards to deep conversations, I stretched in every direction.

I leave with more than skills โ€” I leave with clarity.

Studio D โ€” Redmond, Washington.

Clarity on what kind of builder I want to be, and how I want to show up in the rooms I enter.

Entrepreneurship & Innovation: Q2 Corporation

Archer Hotel โ€” Redmond, Washington

As I travel back to Lansing, and step into year two of my MBA, Iโ€™m beginning to lay the groundwork for Q2 Corporation โ€” a bold new venture rooted in supply chains, regenerative systems, and homegrown innovation.

I am excited to pioneer what might grow to become on of Africa’s most advance supply-chain systems.

For the first time in a long time, Iโ€™m building something that feels like both a company and a calling.

Lifestyle: Hotstone Massages

I was walking back from work the other day, when I saw ‘Hand & Stone’ Massage & Facial Spa on my way. I quickly walked in, and booked a hot stone massage.

For 90 minutes, I didnโ€™t think about strategy, deliverables, or whatโ€™s next. Just breath, heat, and silence.

Rest doesnโ€™t have to be deserved. It just has to be taken.

Featured: Constructing the Kwathu Innovation & Creative Centre

Construction has officially begun on the Kwathu Innovation & Creative Centre in Malawi โ€” a space for learning, making, and co-creating the future.

This isnโ€™t just a building. Itโ€™s a physical embodiment of a dream โ€” and a home for the ideas weโ€™ve been nurturing for years.

Up Next: Lessons

United Nations Secretariat โ€” Manhattah, New York.

Next month, I begin sharing on Lessons โ€” one of the books I am writing as I prepare to turn 30.

I like this book because it is slightly different from ‘The Tens’ series โ€” it retraces the through-lines: what Iโ€™ve learned, what Iโ€™m still unlearning, and what I hope to leave behind.

I am excited for the rest of the summer, and keen to see what August has in store for us. July promises to be expansive, and I arrive well-prepared!

Spotlight: Nyenyezi Fellowship Graduation

This month, we celebrated the graduation of our Nyenyezi Fellows โ€” young visionaries from Malawi University of Science and Technology, ready to launch into the world.

This program started as an idea. Today, itโ€™s a pipeline. A powerful, youth-led one.

โ€”โ€”โ€”

Some months are made for arrival. Others are made for remembering that youโ€™re still on the way.

This one reminded me that progress doesnโ€™t always feel like fireworks. Sometimes, it feels like finishing a page โ€” and quietly beginning the next.

I will mostly be taking the majority of August to reset and rewire as I turn 30โ€ฆ but I wanted to take a moment and say thank you to you, my consistent community for being light and light all through. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿค

With love, with lightโ€”
Ntha
